CELEBRATED Calvin’s 2nd Birthday on Sunday! We had a rain date just in case but didn’t need it!

Finally a great breakfast meeting place in Bel Air! Be prepared to wait but it’s worth it!

This was a bit mind boggling for moments but as Kim VanZyll Czt mentioned, taking it one stroke at a time it comes together! Love these repeating step classes cause you can really get in a groove! Not too sure about my gem- but I wanted to try something new using the chalk Carbothello pencil. Thank you Kim for challenging us!

FallTangle2024 Class 2 In the books! Always LOVE playing with PrismaColors! Might be a new obsession on the black paper! Romi Borax Marks taught this fabulous class “Owl Odyssey” 💙 thanks Romi!

I’m honored to be part and my heart is filled with gratitude and appreciation. Much thanks to Angie Gittles event coordinator. Also to fellow instructors; Jennifer Matthaei Cottrell, Brenda Campbell and Rohini Singh! It was so much fun!! The affirmation for the day was from our friend Mary Rose Feldman and her affirmation deck! (It’s gorgeous and filled with beautiful affirmations!) The Sentimental gift❣️

I was young once ... to all my female friends from 40 years and up... most of us are going through the next phase of our lives. We're at that age where we see wrinkles, gray hair and extra pounds. Menopause may have appeared or just waiting around the corner. We see the cute 25-year-olds and reminisce. But we were also 25, just as they will one day be our age. ***We aren't the "girls in their summer clothes" anymore*** What they bring to the table with their youth and zest, we bring our wisdom and experience. We have raised families, run households, paid the bills, dealt with diseases, sadness and everything else life has assigned us.
Some of us have lost those that were nearest and dearest to us. We are survivors... we are warriors in the quiet... we are women...like a classic car or a fine wine. Even if our bodies may not be what they once were, they carry our souls, our courage and our strength. We shall all enter this chapter of our lives with humility, grace and pride over everything we have been through and should never feel bad about getting older. It's a privilege that is denied to so many.

In case you didn’t know this weekend was Field Day for Amateur Radio— Chesapeake Bay Radio Association -CBRA held it close to home! It’s Bernie Wimmers passion/hobby for 1000 years😊 Well I played along for a couple of hours! And I won a hand held radio in the raffle!! Woo hoo K3jdf 💙

Signed up for this class with Sheila Grube after I saw the finished pieces in person! Love this first quilt of 4! There is also a surprise bonus block!
I always found stitching by hand very relaxing. This was a very similar experience and most enjoyable! Still need to add some quilting stitches and the stitching aroun the design. This one has a place on the wall already!

Happy dance! Soon to have a dance floor! Bernie Wimmers😘 So excited! This last piece of carpet had to GO!!
